Al Kout Management is devoted to accomplishing development objectives at all levels by seeking high-precision techniques and strategies. Our Management body is currently following a strict optimization strategy to implement radical changes at the heart of the company; this pledge has resulted in tangible outcomes.
The Salt and Chlorine business is witnessing success with improved results throughout all departments. The performance of the transport subsidiary, Al Kout Logistics and Transport Company (ALTC), as well as Al Kout Petrochemical Products Company (APPC), also demonstrated progress. In addition, a new range of products was developed leading to further upgrading in this sector.
Safety of our employees is of utmost importance and through the acquisition and application of the latest and safest international technologies we have improved our records. We obtained the ISO 14001 certification for our environmental management system including regulatory compliance and have reached 5.5 million man hours with no time lost accidents. 
We also succeeded to considerably reduce our debt level in the last period. This achievement, mixed with our cash availability, allows us to grab any growth opportunity that may now arise.
These objectives were reached with the dedication of our professional staff, always undergoing training, attending seminars and workshops to stay up-to-date with international managerial and behavioral standards.
Above all, our main purpose remains to ensure and witness customer satisfaction by standing out in our business activities, both in Kuwait and the Gulf and to be one of the leading industrial businesses in the MENA region.

Newly acquired facility - Safewater Chemicals - UAE
Safewater owns a chlor-alkali plant producing Caustic Soda, Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrochloric Acid
Alkout Industrial Projects Company has finished phase 1 of a 3 phase investment plan for their our newly acquired facility of Safe Water in Abu Dhabi. In this phase we have done a plant turnaround with major maintenance to improve reliability. The plant has been commissioned and is producing reliably according plan. We hope to finish phase two of the plan, another major expansion, in Q4 2012.
